This pelican was formed from leftover handles that had no clear purpose, pieces waiting quietly for meaning. When a discarded potato ricer revealed the unmistakable shape of a pelican’s beak, the sculpture found its path. What followed was not a plan, but a realization — the understanding that form, story, and intention could emerge simply by paying attention.

Built entirely from upcycled metal, Becoming represents transformation through awareness. The pelican, long a symbol of provision and selflessness, stands here as a reflection of creative offering — giving something new life from what was once overlooked.
